Océane Jacob (b.1996) is a French artist from Hong Kong and a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Her practice showcases the marvelous yet fragile ecosystems of the marine world. She portrays the vulnerability of Nature and explores the significant ecological and sociopolitical challenges it faces in this modern world. Through public installations, sculptures, and paintings,
Océane’s work invites viewers to a thoughtful conversation about art and environmental consciousness. She often works with recycled materials, embracing their historical and cultural importance as well as their past functions.
Océane’s art forms a poetic intersection between creativity and ecological awareness. Her work has been exhibited across Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the United States.
