Course Description

This intensive two-day workshop offers an introduction to the Meisner Technique, a method designed to develop the ability to be fully present, responsive, and authentic in every moment.

Participants will journey from mindful meditation and body awareness to the four-step repetition exercise developed by William Esper, one of Sanford Meisner’s most influential successors.

The workshop focuses on the foundations of listening, reacting, and truthful engagement. Students learn to shed the impulse to “perform” and instead respond spontaneously, sincerely, and in tune with their impulses.

Benefits for Actors

Cultivate presence in the moment and focused attention.
Develop truthful contact with a scene partner and spontaneous response.
Release learned social masks and foster authentic imagination.
Build a stable foundation for further work in the Meisner system.

Benefits for Non-Actors

Enhance active listening skills and genuine responsiveness.
Develop authenticity in personal and professional communication.
Reduce stress through mindfulness, breathwork, and awareness exercises.
Improve self-confidence and spontaneity in everyday life.
